Tide predictions: Bureau of Meteorology

Source and processing

Ben’s Weather uses the Bureau of Meteorology’s published annual tide predictions for validated Australian prediction stations. This includes reviewed secondary-quality annual predictions for Crookhaven Heads. Ben’s Weather has processed and stored the published events so they can be presented consistently in the Home and Fisherman Mode dashboards.

Published local times and predicted heights are retained. Each station is queried using its recorded Australian IANA timezone; unsupported or unapproved stations are never substituted with a guessed station.

This product is based on Bureau of Meteorology information that has subsequently been modified. The Bureau does not necessarily support or endorse, or have any connection with, the product.

In respect of that part of the information which is sourced from the Bureau, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

Current coverage

This release enables only stations and locality mappings that have been imported, validated and explicitly approved. The prediction-station name shown beside each tide panel identifies the official reference station. Other locations remain unavailable until an appropriate station assignment has been independently validated.
